Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar storage technologies northtechlabs.com actually uses — not a generic template.
Last updated: 2026-07-25
1. What This Site Currently Uses
As of the date at the top of this page, northtechlabs.com does not set any non-essential cookies, does not use browser localStorage or sessionStorage, and does not load any third-party analytics or advertising scripts by default. It sets exactly one strictly-necessary cookie, described in Section 2 below.
Standard web-server request logs are used for security and uptime monitoring — this does not involve setting a cookie or writing to browser storage.
2. Essential, Strictly-Necessary Storage
The only cookie this site sets is NEXT_LOCALE, written automatically by the site's underlying framework (Next.js with next-intl) the first time you visit, so your selected language is remembered on later visits instead of being re-detected on every page load.
This cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function correctly, contains no personal data beyond a short language code, is never used for tracking, profiling, or advertising, and is not shared with any third party. Because it's strictly necessary, it does not require consent under applicable cookie-consent rules.
3. Consent
Because the only cookie in use is strictly necessary (Section 2) and no non-essential cookies or tracking technologies are currently in use, no cookie-consent banner is shown. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics in the future — this page and the site's consent behaviour will be updated before any such technology goes live, and a consent mechanism will be implemented where required by law.
4. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or any other non-essential cookie or storage mechanism in the future, we will update this page to accurately describe it before it goes into effect.
